.Everything included in the description was in the box so no issue there. One thing that is slightly bothersome is it will not save your settings upon turning the machine off in all modes. This machine is more complicated than anything I have ever used before. After my 80 year old pre WWII Singer 15-91 sewing machine died I moved up with a new sewing machine and went with Brother. The needle was scraping and the bobbin tray looked like was misaligned.Sews like a dream. She took me to JC Pennys and the sales lady showed me how to read the back of the pattern to buy fabric.Yes, it is plastic-y, yes, you have to use the bobbins made FOR the machine, & Yes, you must read through a few directions here & there in order to use some of the features ~ HOWEVER ~ you can also pull this right out of the box, wind a bobbin, thread it up, & sew a seam.Last night I used some scrap fabric to test different tension settings, and after adjusting the tension to 5 1/2 the machine worked WAY better. I absolutely love this machine! I should clarify that I am no seamstress. It hard to thread for me because I have arthritis I have to use a needle threader. I am in total love with this machine.I’ve had some minor glitches but nothing that youtube and google can’t fix.[/review2][review3] I have been using this machine for about 4 weeks.

Put it to work immediately with my current quilting project.I mostly sew clothing– but want to quilt too and liked the extra table. Its not an expensive machine and I just wasn’t ready to spend a arm and leg yet as I’m just now able to get back into sewing due my MS.I told him I probably will never need this many stitches and most likely only use like 4.I thought okay maybe it’s not me I will order this Brother HC 1850 – it gets good to great reviews and I can always return it because it’s Amazon right? Who knew you could sew without cussing? This machine is amazing out of the box – I watched the included disk and was wowed with all it can do – but I really just need straight lines and zig zags.Saves me time and effort on getting on my embroidery machine to do numbers and letters.I bought two this month, neither worked, and I returned them.I can spend hours using it.I was super excited to have the automatic needle threader.I’ve been using my grandmother’s Ulna from the early 1950’s for the last 30 years. For the price the machine is nice. Also, I might find a quilt store nearby and that could create an emergency.I think it a great machine to learn on and it has a lot of nice features and comes with quite a few feet like a walking foot and free motion foot.I was afraid I using the machine would be difficult; but it wasn’t, I made a beautiful dress for my daughters birthday without any difficulty in figuring out the machine.I purchased this machine after owning/downsizing from a Brother ULT 2003D.Although I haven’t yet used and can’t comment on every feature, I don’t believe one can go wrong with this machine — the price is right, it’s packed with stitches, and it functions very well.I did notice when I went to take needle off it was tight, and the scwer was chipping when I turn it to lossen the needle and it did’nt get better from there.Regarding the needle threader it won’t self thread unless the needle is all the way in the up position.I have watched many youtube videos in order to make sure that I learn how to use it as to not break it.

The instruction video is very helpful to get started, too. It’s so easy to use, the instructions are detailed and easy to understand..I was pleased by the easy of threading.I had my eye on 3 Brother brand sewing machines JoAnn’s offered online.Nothing too hard.My last machine was a brother and I bought 22 years ago o still have it and it still works.Problem, though, my original machine, the singer esteem my folks bought for me from target broke down after my first lesson.Very awesome at sewing tops from fabric.I narrowed down my search for a machine after tirelessly reading reviews, looking at different brands, price checking and double checking everything for 2 months. In the past, I have become quite adept at sewing on my grandmother’s machine.Price was great!! Lots of stitches to choose from and very easy to thread and use.It is my second one of this model.Really enjoying this machine.I’ve had it for over 2 months and have used it –> <use xlink:href="http://2azap.Brother said it was not covered by the warranty and although I had purchased the Asurion protection plan ,they said it should be covered by the warranty I took up quilting this year, and started with the small $80 machine and quickly went to this machine, I 😘 be everything it can do .
